| Class: Table Runner - Beginners Class Teacher: Joan Correy Cost: $5 each month Date: First Thursday of each Month Time: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. OR 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This is a great beginners project. You purchase a runner kit of your choice. Most of the runners are very easy projects that you will be able to cute and sew in class each month and you can always come in to finish the following month if you need extra time. You will also learn to do the binding and a number of ways to quilt your finished project. Please call ahead if you plan on attending. |
| Class: Machine Quilting Teacher: Laurie Spindler Cost: $10.00 Date: Wed, March 24 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. OR Thurs, March 25 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Time: 10 am - 12 pm or 6:30 - 8:30 pm or 10 am Learn the techniques and patterns that will help you finish your quilts with the same skill you use in your piecing. Laurie will show you things to make quilting easier and you will practive on your own machine. When you register for the class, you will receive a list of items you will need for class. From beginner to the advanced, there is something for everyone in this class. |

| Class: Back to Nature Block of the Month Teacher: Sue Powell Cost: $20 per month (includes fabric) Date: Starting March 1st - 1st Monday of the Month thru March 2011 Time: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Block pick up times) This project is a gorgeous quilt in reds, blues, greens, golds and creams. The pine cone border is the crowning touch. We are going to make this as a 12 month block of the month so each quilter can finish their masterpiece as their time allows. The quilt finishes 96 x 106 but could be made larger or smaller by playing with the borders. |
| Class: Mariner's Compass Block of the Month Teacher: Jeralene Staska Cost: $20.00 plus pattern and fabric Date: 2nd Sunday of the Month Time: 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. The mariner's Compass quilt is a stunning quilt which will be assembled in Batik's. The center of the quilt has 9 blocks and would be beautiful bordered, or you can finish to a larger size. The book "Reach for the Stars" will be required for use in the piecing technique. Call a friend and come in to register for the class and reserve your place today. Kits will be available for each block and to complete the quilt as you chose. This class will start in March or April... we'll keep the website posted or you can call the shop. |
| Walk in Mystery Quilt Cost: Free for your pattern This will be available to everyone who comes into the shop and asks for their clue after the first of each month. The finished quilt will be a crib or lap size 46 x 60 so those of you who have never done a mystery before can try the fun without a lot of time or fabric yardage. In January you can receive the first clue which will include your pattern for your fabric selection and cutting instructions. Please come in and join the fun. There are only 6 steps this mystery, but you will be pleasantly surprised by the results. |
